How to Measure for Blinds

Follow these steps to measure standard windows.

First decide: Will your blind be fitted inside or outside the window recess?

Inside Window Recess

Measure the width in three places: top, middle, and bottom. Measure the height (drop) in three places: left, centre, and right. Always use the smallest measurements.

Outside Window Recess

Measure the full width and height of the area. Allow at least 7.5 cm overlap on all sides to reduce light gaps. Measure in three places and use the smallest measurement

Measurement Guide (mm)

• Width: Measure from left to right.
• Height: Measure from top to bottom.
